«Romania is a trial polygon for Horsch!»

At the beginning of September, the spouses Michael AND Cornelia Horses For a few days, they were visiting in Romania, an opportunity with which several Romanian farmers met, both during the event organized at the headquarters Fiery From the locality of Costanta Kogălniceanu and visit some farms from the counties of Braila, Vaslui and Căliant.

Small family history: raised in a family of farmers, Michael and Philipp Horsch Brothers, together with Cornelia Horsch, Michael's wife, today guide the activity whose bases were laid more than 50 years ago. Elke Horsch, Philip Horsch's wife, was born in Romania, in Re goța, where she emigrated to Germany, together with her family in the 80s.

«For Michael Horsch, this was the fifth or sixth visit to Romania, but Cornelia Horsch has now arrived, for the first time in our country. He came to Romania and, since Phillip Horsch and his wife Elke have been many times here and all the time discussions on Romania have been wrapped in an euphoria, Elke exposed, every time, only very beautiful things in Romania and was impressed by how he evolved over 30 years ago when he went to Germany.«Costantin Curcrip tells us, the one who has permanently accompanied the spouses of Horsch and will mark, in the following lines, some of the conclusions of this visit.

Discussions with farmers, on the field. Conditions for direct sowing

Curcrip Costantin: «We take it from the beginning: at the event organized by Mewi at the headquarters of the County Constantța, there were some discussions with farmers. One of them, Nicolae șerbanwhich has 12-13 thousand hectares in the counties of Vaslui and Baciant, due to the lack of rainfall, has passed directly and asked Michael Horsch. The next day, I visited the Arnaud Charmant farm, which manages almost 14,000 hectares in the Care of Calarasi. He drives a farm that for ten years applied himself directly and I don't think someone has more experience in Romania in this sector, so here the discussion has been more advanced.«

Which «theme» received Michael Horsch from the farmer Nicolae șerban

Curcrip Costantin: «Mr. Serban, worried about the increase in fertilizers, has given us a theme: it is expected that Horsch will find a solution that includes to introduce garbage with pellet birds with soil processing. The farmer has asked for solutions to incorporate fertilizers, easy to manage and insert the long -term effect.

It was a very important signal that the Horsch family captured very well for the future machines that will be developed. Horsch will surely focus, in the next period, on the systems to directly sow vegetable rugs. This is the current trend.«

Many equipment tested in Romania

Recently returned from Germany, from a training session organized by Horsch, Costantin Curcrm, representative of the German producer in Romania, says they are already starting to see the results after Michael Horsch's most recent visit: «We are already receiving many test equipment in Romania. They have seen the trend here and that farmers are looking for solutions, including farmers who have not conceived not to use the plow, now they want to sow directly, because they want to continue to profit in the farm.«

«The structure of the lands in Romania, but also the lack of rainfall, brings us the advantage, compared to other countries, to test machines that are found in the early stages of development. We test a lot. Romania is, alone, one of Horsch's trial polygons in Europe. We have very difficult field conditions, in addition to the lack of rainfall and extraordinarily high temperatures during the summer, which have put pressure on the materials used in the production of machines. If we capture a summer like that in 2020 and tests for 3,000-4,000 hectares in Romania and resist, they will then enter the process of finishing and accelerated production.

We enter a new era: farmers will reduce the number of soil processing machines and opt for sowing with increasing work widths. If you saved two, three steps for soil processing, you can allow yourself to stop taking a sowing of 6 meters, but one of the 12 meters. Being permanent in direct contact with farmers, Horsch continually works on the development of machinery perfectly adapted to the needs of farmers and medium and long -term trends in the agricultural sector. Some of the new machines will be exhibited this year in Sima, the Paris Agricultural Fair, which takes place in early November, and many other new machines will be presented next year in Hanover, in Agritechnica 2025.

«In Sima, this year, there will be some Horsch machines that have disappeared in the last ten years, for example the Sowing of Airser Co, who were making the story on the farm of Mr. Dimitrie Musciant and in other farms in Romania 25-30 years ago and which have been brought to life in the current context, in which the more and more emphasis is placed on the police and more to have more. Multiples of incorporation of fertilizers and sowing different types of seeds, to create vegetable rugs and sowing that work in extreme conditions. These sowers, with 3-4 different types of compartments, in which we can mix up to 4 different types of seeds or fertilizers, have a question again, especially in the current context, in which green crops can be a solution to reduce fertilization costs.

We are all preparing for drought, with increasingly difficult machines, but we have hit a rainy autumn once every few years, and therefore we are no longer prepared.
