Avicarvil -12 years of activity on the agrozootechnical market

Bucharest, 01.04.2020 – The Avicarvil company was born in 2008, the year in which she became part of the Carmistin group, growing with it. For Avicarvil the road started with the acquisition of the Oltchim platform – founded in 1978, one of the largest poultry platforms in Romania, with vast experience – over 30 years, in the growth and production of poultry.

The farms held by the company at the time of its grip were modernized by a large investment program, the investments started in 2008, again reviewing the farms, increasing the ability to massacre the existing slaughter and the construction of a logistics platform.

In 2019, the second slaughter unit for the platform in the county of Gorj was inaugurated, with a capacity of 10 million birds/year, a platform that has increased the production and ability to slaughter 20 million alive/year chickens, compared to 2 million chicks/year in 2008, when taking the platform.

The chicks breeding system is complex, which includes the population of its farms with 1 -day chicks, the growth of chicks up to the massacre era, massacre and distribution of products in its stores, but also through other distribution channels. The brand according to which the company's products are marketed is «Laprovincia», a brand that can be found in the 36 stores in the Oltenia area.

Avicarvil has the first growing farm of the chicks in Romania, which includes the production of green energy. The chicks are 100% powered with natural feed and are raised in the farms in terms of biosyphicity, with all the automatic rooms and the entire computerized climate. Therefore, a healthy growth environment is guaranteed that satisfies all the standards imposed by the European Union, as regards the well -being of animals.

In the next period, Avicarvil continues the investment projects to increase the skills in farms, by the end of 2020, the works for the Prundeni farm, who will generate an additional capacity of approx. 1.8 million chicks/year (increase of about 10%). In addition, by the end of 2021, another 60 rooms will be modernized. The rooms make up the OLT poultry for over 5 years and were purchased last year on the basis of a transaction of 1.6 million euros. The modernization of the rooms will lead to an increase in approx. 8.5 million chicks/year (over 40 % of the current capacity).

The company started with a number of 50 employees, currently reaching over 1000 employees in the Oltenia area, thus becoming a large employer in this less developed area from an economic point of view.

For the year 2020 Avicarvil also prepares a series of projects co-financed by the European Union by the European Social Fund through the 2014-2020 human capital operational program, intended to improve the professional skills of 182 future graduates from the non-university market regions within 24 months. The two programs – «Tomorrow professionals, today's students – promised» and «young people's access to the future» will enter the implementation in the middle of this year.
